A series of copper (II) ( 1 and 3 ) and cobalt (II/III) ( 2 , 4 and 5 ) complexes comprising different imino‐phenolate ligands DCH , DTH and DBH 2 (where DCH = 2,4‐dichloro‐6‐((mesitylimino)methyl)phenol, DTH = 2,4‐di‐tert‐butyl‐6‐((mesitylimino)methyl) phenol and DBH 2 = 2,4‐dibromo‐6‐((mesitylimino)methyl)phenol) have been prepared with excellent yield and high purity. By utilizing different spectroscopic tools such as UV–visible, electrospray ionization (ESI)‐mass, Fourier‐transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry and elemental analysis, the prepared complexes ( 1 – 5 ) were thoroughly characterized. The molecular structure of the synthesized complexes was ascertained by using single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction studies (SCXRDs). The experiment reveals that Complexes 1 – 5 bind to calf thymus DNA (CT‐DNA) through non‐intercalative way with good interacting abilities. However, 1 – 5 are excellent quenchers of the fluorescence intensity of bovine serum albumin (BSA) following the static pathway. Additionally, they had shown remarkable cytotoxic potential against MCF‐7 (mammary gland adenocarcinoma) and A549 (lung adenocarcinoma) cell lines. The IC50 values associated with these complexes were much lower than the conventional drug cisplatin. Apoptosis‐induced cell death was confirmed from the DNA fragmentation studies and Hoechst 33342 staining. The 2′,7′‐dichlorofluorescein diacetate (DCFDA) assay indicates that the complex mediated reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation is accountable for governing the apoptosis mechanism via oxidative cell distress. Apart from these studies, by carrying out density functional theory (DFT) method, highest occupied molecular orbital–lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (HOMO–LUMO) energy gap calculations and optimized structures of the synthesized complexes were accomplished.  相似文献

Sulfonated polyaryletherketones (SPAEK) bearing four sulfonic acid groups on the phenyl side groups were synthesized. The benzophenone moiety of polymer backbone was further reduced to benzydrol group with sodium borohydride. The membranes were crosslinked by acid-catalyzed Friedel-Crafts reaction without sacrifice of sulfonic acid groups and ion exchange capacity (IEC) values. Crosslinked membranes with the same IEC value but different water uptake could be prepared. The optimal crosslinking condition was investigated to achieve lower water uptake, better chemical stability (Fenton's test), and higher proton conductivity. In addition, the hydrophilic ionic channels from originally course and disordered could be modified to be narrow and continuous by this crosslinking method. The crosslinked membranes, CS4PH-40-PEKOH (IEC = 2.4 meq./g), reduced water uptake from 200 to 88% and the weight loss was reduced from 11 to 5% during the Fenton test compared to uncrosslinked one (S4PH-40-PEK). The membrane showed comparable proton conductivity (0.01–0.19 S/cm) to Nafion 212 at 80°C from low to high relative humidity (RH). Single H2/O2 fuel cell based on the crosslinked SPAEK with catalyst loading of 0.25 mg/cm2 (Pd/C) exhibited a peak power density of 220.3 mW/cm2, which was close to that of Nafion 212 (214.0 mW/cm2) at 80°C under 53% RH. These membranes provide a good option as proton exchange membrane with high ion exchange capacity for fuel cells.  相似文献

Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) is a key factor in several cardiovascular diseases, as it is responsible for the elevation of circulating low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels in blood plasma by direct interaction with the LDL receptor. The development of orally available drugs to inhibit this PCSK9-LDLR interaction is a highly desirable objective. Here, we report the synthesis of naturally occurring moracin compounds and their derivatives with a 2-arylbenzofuran motif to inhibit PCSK9 expression. In addition, we discuss a short approach involving the three-step synthesis of moracin C and a divergent method to obtain various analogs from one starting material. Among the tested derivatives, compound 7 (97.1%) was identified as a more potent inhibitor of PCSK9 expression in HepG2 cells than berberine (60.9%). These results provide a better understanding of the structure–activity relationships of moracin derivatives for the inhibition of PCSK9 expression in human hepatocytes.  相似文献

In implantable materials, surface topography and chemistry are the most important in the effective osseointegration and interaction with drug molecules. Therefore, structural and surface modifications of nanostructured titanium dioxide (TiO2) layers are reported in the present work. In particular, the modification of annealed TiO2 samples with —OH groups and silane derivatives, confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, is shown. Moreover, the ibuprofen release process was studied regarding the desorption-desorption-diffusion (DDD) kinetic model. The results proved that the most significant impact on the release profile is annealing, and further surface modifications did not change its kinetics. Additionally, the cell adhesion and proliferation were examined based on the MTS test and immunofluorescent staining. The obtained data showed that the proposed changes in the surface chemistry enhance the samples’ hydrophilicity. Moreover, improvements in the adhesion and proliferation of the MG-63 cells were observed.  相似文献

BackgroundIt is estimated that there are 338,000 new renal-cell carcinoma releases every year in the world. Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a heterogeneous tumor, of which more than 70% is clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). It is estimated that about 30% of new renal-cell carcinoma patients have metastases at the time of diagnosis. However, the pathogenesis of renal clear cell carcinoma has not been elucidated. Therefore, it is necessary to further study the pathogenesis of ccRCC.MethodsTwo expression profiling datasets (GSE68417, GSE71963) were downloaded from the GEO database. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between ccRCC and normal tissue samples were identified by GEO2R. Functional enrichment analysis was made by the DAVID tool. Protein-protein interaction (PPI) network was constructed. The hub genes were excavated. The clustering analysis of expression level of hub genes was performed by UCSC (University of California Santa Cruz) Xena database. The hub gene on overall survival rate (OS) in patients with ccRCC was performed by Kaplan-Meier Plotter. Finally, we used the ccRCC renal tissue samples to verify the hub genes.Results1182 common DEGs between the two datasets were identified. The results of GO and KEGG analysis revealed that variations in were predominantly enriched in intracellular signaling cascade, oxidation reduction, intrinsic to membrane, integral to membrane, nucleoside binding, purine nucleoside binding, pathways in cancer, focal adhesion, cell adhesion molecules. 10 hub genes ITGAX, CD86, LY86, TLR2, TYROBP, FCGR2A, FCGR2B, PTPRC, ITGB2, ITGAM were identified. FCGR2B and TYROBP were negatively correlated with the overall survival rate in patients with ccRCC (P < 0.05). RT-qPCR analysis showed that the relative expression levels of CD86, FCGR2A, FCGR2B, TYROBP, LY86, and TLR2 were significantly higher in ccRCC samples, compared with the adjacent renal tissue groups.ConclusionsIn summary, bioinformatics technology could be a useful tool to predict the progression of ccRCC. In addition, there are DEGs between ccRCC tumor tissue and normal renal tissue, and these DEGs might be considered as biomarkers for ccRCC.  相似文献

The rapid development of two-dimensional (2D) materials offers new opportunities for 2D ultra-thin excitonic solar cells (XSCs). The construction of van der Waals heterostructure (vdWH) is a recognised and effective method of integrating the properties of single-layer 2D materials, creating particularly superior performance. Here, the prospects of h-BP/h-BAs vdW heterostructures in 2D excitonic solar cells are assessed. We systematically investigate the electronic properties and optical properties of heterogeneous structures by using the density functional theory (DFT) and first-principles calculations. The results indicate that the heterogeneous structure has good optoelectronic properties, such as a suitable direct bandgap and excellent optical absorption properties. The calculation of the phonon spectrum also confirms the well-defined kinetic stability of the heterstructure. We design the heterogeneous structure as a model for solar cells, and calculate its solar cell power conversion efficiency which reaches up to 16.51% and is higher than the highest efficiency reported in organic solar cells (11.7%). Our work illustrates the potential of h-BP/h-BAs heterostructure as a candidate for high-efficiency 2D excitonic solar cells.  相似文献

Bioelectrochemical dioxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalyzed by multi-copper oxidases (MCOs) is a process of paramount importance occurring at the cathode of enzymatic biofuel cells (EBFCs), which is an energy harvester that holds promise of self-sustained implantable and wearable medical devices. The MCO biocathode is, however, frequently the limiting factor of a working EBFC. Besides the operational stability issue, enzymatic biocathodes are largely constrained by the relatively low solubility of dioxygen in aqueous solution. As an emerging topic, we here review the introduction of dioxygen-enriching materials to the cathodic bioelectrode for overcoming the dioxygen supply limitation, leading to improved ORR performance.  相似文献

Nowadays, desulfurization of fuel oil has raised concern globally because of strict industrial and environmental legislations. Albeit hydrodesulfurization (HDS) has been extensively used in oil refineries to produce low sulfur oil (< 10 ppm) but not been proven as effective method for the removal of dibenzothiophene (DBT), benzothiophene (TH) and their derivatives. Subsequently, adsorptive desulfurization (ADS) and oxidative desulfurization (ODS) methods have been developed to achieve high removal efficiency. In the past decade, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) and its composites as oxidative catalysts, as well as adsorbents, have attracted the researchers owing to high surface area, tunable properties, and reusable. The present review comprises use of MOFs and their composites for the removal of sulfur from fuel oil via ODS and ADS processes. Additionally, physicochemical properties of MOFs, mechanism, pros and cons of both process, regeneration, and future challenges have been discussed briefly. Moreover, current limitations and future prospective are also discussed.  相似文献
